Classes and private lessons

You must bring a valid state or federal government-issued photo ID.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, you'll need to reschedule to another class date. Having to start over, wait or repeat material isn't fair to the instructor, and even more so to the other students.

All range fees are the responsibility of the student, including lane rental, ammunition purchases, targets and firearm rentals.

Follow the instructor's safety instructions at all times. The instructor may remove anyone who handles a firearm unsafely or appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and that seat or lesson isn't refunded.

Completing a class earns a certificate of completion. Your permit itself is issued by the state, which decides whether to approve it; we can't guarantee that it will.

FFL transfers

Bring a valid Connecticut pistol permit, eligibility certificate or long gun eligibility certificate, plus a government-issued photo ID. Every transfer follows federal and state law, including the background check done at pickup. We can't release a firearm when the law doesn't allow it, and we may refuse any transfer we believe would be unlawful.

If a firearm can't be transferred to you, it can be returned to the seller for the processing fee and shipping listed on the FFL transfers page.

Firearm, suppressor and ammunition sales are final. Ammunition sales are final once the ammunition ships. Firearm and suppressor sales are final once the transfer to you is complete, at Blue Cord or at your dealer.

Firearms, suppressors and accessories from our shop

Every firearm and suppressor sale follows federal and state law. You must be the actual buyer (not buying for someone else), old enough to buy the item and legally allowed to own it where you live. The firearm ships to a licensed dealer (FFL) in your home state, and it's yours only once that dealer completes the transfer, including the background check. We may cancel any order we believe would be unlawful.

Knowing whether a firearm, suppressor, ammunition or accessory is legal for you to buy and own where you live is your responsibility, and for a firearm or suppressor also your transferring dealer's, who must confirm it before completing the transfer.

When you order, we place a hold on your card; you're charged when your order ships. Stock and the states each item can ship to are shown in the shop and can change. Our shipping policy explains where and how items ship.

Prices and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change. You pay the price shown when you place your order. If a price is listed wrong by mistake, we'll contact you before going ahead, and you can cancel for a full refund.

Gift cards and promo codes

Gift cards can be used toward anything on this site, and any balance left stays on the card. They don't expire and have no fees. Keep your code private: anyone with the code can use it.

One promo code can be used per order. Codes have no cash value and may have an end date or a use limit.

Blue Cord Club

A membership lasts one year from purchase and is tied to the email you use at checkout. Use that same email to get member pricing. We may change the perks, and we'll say so on the club page.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Blue Cord Firearms LLC's liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

These terms are governed by Connecticut law.
