Q: Can I take these classes as the same time?  
A: Yes.  Much of the course material overlaps or is the same, so one student can get all three classes done in one day.

CT Pistol Permit Course
9am to approximately 3pm

This Course Is Required When Applying For:
•Connecticut Concealed Carry Pistol Permit
•Connecticut Non-Resident Pistol Permit
•New York Pistol Permit for several counties in New York (including Westchester)
•Florida Non-Resident Pistol Permit
•Arizona Non-Resident Pistol Permit
This course is also accepted when applying for:
•Connecticut Long Gun Eligibility Certificate

Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites.

Description:
This one day course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. There is a test on the course material at the end of the classroom portion of class followed by live fire shooting at the range. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a course completion certificate via email that same afternoon.

Massachusetts Pistol Permit Course
9am to approximately 3pm

This Course Is Required When Applying For:

Massachusetts License to Carry (resident or non-resident)

Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying for a non-resident Massachusetts Pistol Permit you
must be a holder of your home state pistol permit.

Description:
This one day course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and
semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and
operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing
position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. There is
a test on the course material at the end of the classroom potion of class followed by live
fire shooting at the range. Upon successful completion of the course students will
receive a certificate that is required when applying for a Massachusetts License to
Carry.

Utah Pistol Permit Course
7:30am to approximately 11am

The State of Utah has formal reciprocity or recognition with over 30 other states (see map below). The Utah Pistol Permit is available to non-residents who complete the Utah Pistol Permit Course conducted by a Certified Utah Pistol Permit Instructor. The permit is valid for 5 years and is easily renewed.  Please note that the Utah Pistol Permit is a Carry-Only Permit.  In order to purchase firearms and ammunition you must have a pistol permit from your home state.

There are no prerequisites.

Description:
This class room only course will cover basic handgun safety, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, Utah law with regard to firearms and the use of force as well as Federal Firearms laws.

Everything you need to complete this course and submit your application will be done for you in class, including:
•One passport sized photo
•One completed fingerprint card
•Copy of your drivers license
•Application stamped with Utah Certified Instructors Seal
•Envelope ready to mail your application and accompanying paperwork to UTAH BCI
